Resources for Puppy Adopters
Puppy Parents receive a wealth of resources for the lifetime of their companion. From education and support to puppy necessities and go-home bags, we are proud of everything that we are able to offer all of our adopters.
Education
Once a litter reaches 4 weeks of age, adopters who have been selected will be invited to attend bi-weekly Zoom meetings for growth and development updates and a puppy raising educational session. You’ll learn about everything from behavioral development to potty training and all of the good stuff in-between. The content covered in the bi-weekly sessions will be sent to you in your go-home package for future reference and sessions will be recorded so that adopters who are not selected until placements, or those who cannot make the meeting time, can go back and watch the sessions they’ve missed.
Families also receive a copy of a puppy book from our recommended resources to read while they wait as patiently as possible for go-home week.
Go-Home Package
At Apsara, we want the transition from our home to yours to be as easy and stress-free as possible. When you come to pick up your puppy, you will receive a package full of everything you need to get settled at home:
Puppy Harness and Leash: This is the harness and leash they’ve practiced strutting their stuff in.
Puppy Crate: This will be the crate that was used here to jump-start crate training for your puppy. It’s the one that they’re used to.
Receiving Blanket: A small blanket your puppy and their littermates have been cuddling with since birth. While we wash bedding regularly, there is no detergent to defy a dog’s nose.
Favorite Toy: Your puppy’s favorite toy will smell like their first home and can help them settle into a new environment.
Chew Toy: We’ll carefully select a new one of their favorites to go home with.
Bag of Food: You can keep them on their current diet, or transition them to a new one.
Digestive Supplement: To help prevent any tummy troubles.
Vaccination, Health, & Milestones Record: The vaccines and de-worming they’ve received, date they sprouted their first tooth, weight chart, date of first steps, and more.

Ongoing Support
The support doesn’t stop after you leave with your puppy. Being part of the Apsara Family means that we are always there for whatever you need.
Once selected, adopters are invited to join a private Facebook group for Apsara Families where you can share your struggles and your victories. (Oh, and all of the photos, please!) Ezri is also available to you by messenger, e-mail, text, discord, or whatever method of communication works best for you to help you troubleshoot through anything you’re concerned about.
We also frequently have puppies come back to visit while their humans are off on vacations. Boarding is available for all Apsara puppies (and dogs, but they are always puppies to us) for their lifetimes. We also know that puppies can sure be a lot - so can adolescents. If at any point you need a break or a breather, you are more than welcome to bring your puppy back for a stay.
And, sometimes, life happens and you are no longer able to care for your Apsara puppy, or maybe things just aren’t working out as planned. We will always take your puppy or dog back, no questions asked - with arranged transport if needed.
